We’re often asked why we chose to name the company 4CM. Originally, we were called 4 Creative Marketing, which was subsequently shortened to 4CM. But why the number 4?
Well, the secret is in Nucleotides!
Our company name was chosen as a simple but precise description of the services that we provide – creative marketing – while the prefix 4 was selected both as a pun and as a link to the DNA double helix, on which our logo was originally based.
DNA – Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid – is the building block of life, containing the genetic information that makes each of us unique. A DNA molecule takes the shape of a double helix, with the strands being bonded by four essential components called nucleotides. Each of these is constructed from a sugar, a phosphate and one of four organic bases: adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine.
Just as DNA is crucial for life, so effective B2B marketing is at the heart of every successful business; and as DNA depends on four nucleotides for its integrity, so we focus on insight, experience, knowledge and accountability to deliver tangible results from innovative and unique B2B marketing communications campaigns.
