Ian has been a business journalist for more than 35 years, having worked in a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, construction, computing and office equipment.


He has edited a number of business-to-business (B2B) titles including Building Products, H&V News, Energy Management, Office Equipment News, Cranes Today, H&V Review and Works Management.


He has also been a freelance journalist. In this capacity he has written for a host of B2B publications, produced reports for the government, created promotional copy and even published a couple of books.


Ian has been highly commended in both the Periodical Publishers’ Association Business Writer of the Year Awards and the Industrial Society Writer of the Year Awards.


He is married with three daughters (or cost centres as he calls them).
