Create a campaign to promote SKF’s intelligent bearing technology, within the broader discussion around the Internet of Things/Industry 4.0, in the build-up to Hannover Messe.
Our approach was to create of a thought leadership report: Power The Future. This was designed to position SKF at the forefront of the discussion around three key topics: the evolution of the factory; the future of intelligent machine design; and the power of knowledge engineering.
How we did it
Produced a 76 page report, combining articles commissioned from leading academics and industry figures, alongside complementary articles from industry experts from SKF.
The report was produced in several languages and launched at the Hannover Messe press day. Articles were extracted and placed exclusively with key European media in the run up to the show, and in the months following the event. Similarly, articles were edited to create wider interest news stories, which were distributed to the target media.
Coverage in the UK media alone was extensive. In just three months in the build-up to the exhibition, we achieved:
- Over 35 news items in the trade and technical media
- More than 40 A4 pages of heavyweight articles in key publications
- Audience reach of around 500,000 people
- An ROI better than 4:1
