What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Planning and delivering social media campaigns
  • Monitoring social media channels, identifying opportunities for engagement, sharing feedback with the team and gathering insight on our client’s audiences and trending topics
  • Creation of visual assets for marketing collateral, social media and sites
  • Editing, maintaining and uploading content on our website and clients.
  • Optimising SEO content across all sites
  • Monitoring and reporting on Google PPC and other platforms performance
  • Reviewing, monitoring and analysing data to determine the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Working with the client services team on client projects and campaigns
  • Supporting the Client Account Directors with administrative tasks

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Senior Account Manager

Based:

Job purpose:

This is a client facing role in support of the Managing Director and account team, focused on successful management of digital/integrated projects to provide excellent service levels to our clients.

The Senior Account Manager is the day-to-day contact for clients, liaising with various internal and external resources and managing the various work tasks for the project, ensuring that the solution is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality levels.

You will be aware of and keep up to date with all current technology trends your client’s business needs, sectors and product to market to identify business opportunities, develop your accounts and exceed client expectations.

With the information gathered from the client you will develop marketing plans and work with the client services team to implement a range of marketing services as well as owning elements of the plan yourself.

You must have a friendly, professional manner and excellent organisation skills coupled with a close attention to detail in order to take ownership and responsibility for coordinating and delivering different tasks accurately and on time.

Main Tasks:         

  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with a number of clients acting as their point of contact and go-to.
  • Understanding Clients needs and objectives, driving their marketing strategy and looking for new opportunities
  • Guiding clients through projects and working end to end to ensure they have a smooth experience from conception to final tweaks post campaign execution.
  • Keeping clients abreast of the various campaigns and projects, including monthly and quarterly account reviews and updates either face to face, via video call and telephone
  • Producing budget plans and managing finances
  • Campaigns will be multi-channel, digital and offline and you will be working with a range of clients which represent a cross section of B2B firms from different industries
  • There is scope for challenging client thinking, adding your own knowledge and experience to their marketing campaign ideas, helping to shape and craft things into what’s going to be the most productive solution to meet their needs

Planning and Organising:

  • Conducting market research (market, competitors, customers) to shape marketing strategies
  • Managing a range of marketing disciplines from brand, creative, marketing and PR to design and digital projects including marketing materials, case studies, digital content, email communications, PR, sales materials and resources, brochures, written and visual content, assisting/managing events, and trade shows
  • Seamlessly managing deadlines and supporting the wider team to deliver work
  • Writing client briefs and briefing into the design, digital and freelance teams
  • Assisting in creating engaging content for our and all client’s digital channels including their social media accounts, website, and other relevant platforms.
  • Quality control of all work, a strong attention to detail is required
  • Using CRM system to manage client’s budgets ensuring delivery to agreed timescales
  • Day to day ability to collaborate with the team to deliver creative integrated marketing campaigns
  • Champion 4CM’s core values and ensure these are present across all internal and external communication campaigns
  • Work with agency colleagues to devise solutions that meet the clients brief and budget
  • Managing client amends and challenges
  • Ensuring the work in the CRM system is kept up to date on a weekly basis based on you client budgets
  • Total grip on all projects, always on the front foot with project management
  • Timekeeping and punctuality in line with company policy

Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a Senior Account Manager role or/and a solid Senior Account Manager looking for career progression ideally in an agency role
  • Experience of B2B marketing
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience that demonstrates ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and experience of developing a range of engaging content for multi-media channels, that tailor’s messages and finds innovative and creative marketing techniques to reach diverse audiences
  • Awareness of the principles of the following specialist areas: search marketing, search engine optimisation, email marketing, web analytics and metrics, mobile apps and PPC and an understanding of how these can work together
  • Experience of strategic planning, managing team resource and forward planning.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems, with a clear commitment for identifying opportunities and delivering improvements
  • Good organisational and time keeping skills with ability to prioritise tasks to achieve targets
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively regarding the long-term development of an organisations marketing and communications work
  • Excellent self- presentation and a confident communicator with the ability to present effectively
  • Strong budgeting, business planning and financial monitoring skills
  • Ability to produce high quality written reports for internal management purposes and for senior management
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
